It’s Time of Creativity and Inspiration

In 2023 the women from the group “We from Ukraine” 55+ with the support of Refugees Meetup and especially Birte Geesink’s started a new project “Time of creativity and inspiration”. 

It is a creative event for Ukraine refugees children aged 6 to 99, and combines techniques from art therapy and psychology. The plan is to create a regular event, the content of which will change. 

“Time of creativity and inspiration” in fact is an event with two components: 

• Creativity for children of refugees from Ukraine. Currently, there are workshops on various topics. Later, other activities that fascinates the children, like painting, music, dancing, etc., will take place. 
• Psychological support for adult Ukrainian refugees through art therapy. The adults who took the children to the workshop can spend their time both creatively and usefully. Other adults are also invited for the creative experience — both Ukrainians and Dutch. We would welcome other Dutch people and we expect the interaction to be surprisingly productive – we are always impressed by the level of creativity of the Dutch.  

On December 27, a pilot event for refugees from Ukraine “Time of Creativity and Inspiration” took place in Vrijburg, in Amsterdam. We are lucky that Vrijburg allows us to use two separate spaces for these two creative events to take place:  

• the children with teacher Halyna Rodionova created New Year’s decorations from paper 
• the adults under the guidance of psychologist and life coach Victoria Pokladova in a therapy/mood workshop worked on skills to manage stress through art

All the necessary materials for these creative workshops were provided by Refugees Meetup. New Year’s souvenirs from Vrijburg managers were a pleasant bonus for refugees from Ukraine.

Група українських жінок «Ми з України» 55+ за підтримки Refugees Meetup і особисто Birte Geesink розпочала новий проект «Час творчості і натхнення». Це творчий захід для дітей біженців з України віком від 6 до 99 років, на якому поєднуються прийоми мистецтва та психології. Проект розрахований на серію зустрічей, зміст яких буде змінюватись.

«Час творчості і натхнення» це захід з двох складових:

• Творчість для дітей біженців з України. Наразі це поробки на різні теми. В подальшому — інша творча діяльність, що їх захопить (малювання, музика, танці тощо).
• Психологічна підтримка дорослих через арт-терапію. Дорослі, що привели дітей у майстерню, можуть творчо і з користю провести час. Запрошуються й інші дорослі для креативного досвіду — як українці, так і нідерландці. Така взаємодія може виявитися напрочуд продуктивною, оскільки рівень творчості нідерландців дивовижний. Він захоплює та вражає.

27.12 у затишних кімнатах церкви Vrijburg (Амстердам) відбувся пілотний захід для біженців з України «Час творчості і натхнення». Він пройшов у двох творчих просторах: 

• діти з викладачем Галиною Родіоновою створювали новорічні прикраси з паперу
• дорослі під керівництвом психолога і лайф-коуча Вікторії Покладової у терапевтичній майстерні власного настрою опановували навички керувати стресом через мистецтво

Усі необхідні матеріали для творчості надала благодійна організація Refugees Meetup. Приємним бонусом для біженців з України стали новорічні сувеніри від керівництва церкви Vrijburg.
